The Spanish label Suite 13 was founded by two designers, who met at different companies and share the same ethical values in order to create an alternative business to the fast fashion industries. Alexia Izu and Maria Trepat aim for elegance in sustainable clothing and consider themselves to be nomads with their base in Palma de Majorca and their production being realized in workshops across Barcelona.
We believe in slow fashion, transparent production and the use of organic fabrics to shape timeless, high quality collections.
Our designs are unique, timeless, original cuts and clean lines, always following our own style. We put great care into the selection of fabrics used and finishes, always favoring organic, sustainable materials. Our maxim is that less is more, we always want to remain a company faithful to it’s beliefs.
The perfect balance of creativity and chaos. We try to share and express our dreams, experiences and tastes in every garment we make.
Looking at the online findings after my discovery of Suite 13 during the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin, I would like to get to know more about the brand and their practices and hope to contact them next time again for a Q&A meet-up. Until then, I simply believe in their stated philosophy, purely love the nonchalant elegant styles in combination with soft colours and patterns and admire the cactus desert shooting of summer 2016, that recalls beautiful memories of my Mexico trip earlier this year.
